Rare Dug LeFaucheux Revolver – We have had numerous excavated weapons, but we have never encountered a dug LeFaucheux. This weapon was excavated in the Richmond area, in the 1980s and was part of Rector (of the Civil War era Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Richmond) Frederick Goodwin’s relic collection. The weapon remains in fine, excavated condition, with little rust or oxidation flaking. So the gun was manufactured in Liege between January 1877 and July 1893. The number 73 that you found under the grips is by no means the year of manufacture!! Lefaucheux www.lefaucheux.net. All the markings and numbers are clearly visible on metal. All the internal parts of the revolver are in fine condition, with no visible wear. Hardwood grips are in excellent condition, with only minor handling marks. Very attractive large frame Arendt/Lefaucheux revolver! Serial# 41XX. 'Systeme Lefaucheux'.
